8"x10" original artwork in watercolor, mica + ink on Stonehenge heavy cold-press paper, with touches of black acrylic marker and pink gouache.
The reference photo for this first painting came from a memorable (for me) hike in Sea Ranch, on the northern Sonoma County coast. It was my first time presenting femme on vacation, one of the countless little thresholds you have to cross while transitioning socially, and my wife and friends invited me on my first "girls' hike." A tiny gesture that meant the absolute world to me. The coast was all bright clumps of spring wildflowers.
Painting #1 of 5 in the mini collection "Places of Rest." This 2nd collection of 2026 consists of 5 landscape paintings from in and around Sonoma County. Each is based off a reference photo I took while traveling, focusing on some of my favorite places to find a bit of calm: highlighting Sea Ranch, Gualala, Marin County, and two spots in Petaluma.
Prices include free U.S. shipping. Paintings ordered with the "framed" option are matted and ready to hang, presented in an 11"x14" black solid-wood frame.
