8"x10" original artwork in watercolor, mica, ink + cut black paper on Stonehenge heavy cold-press paper, with touches of black acrylic marker and pink gouache.
This final painting in the collection is based on a photo from our local walking spot here in Petaluma, Schollenberger Park. This 165-acre wetland is constantly in flux throughout the year, with shifting tidal marshes, vernal pools leaving behind displays of wildflowers, and red-winged blackbirds flitting about the reeds.
Painting #5 of 5 in the mini collection "Places of Rest." This 2nd collection of 2026 consists of 5 landscape paintings from in and around Sonoma County. Each is based off a reference photo I took while traveling, focusing on some of my favorite places to find a bit of calm: highlighting Sea Ranch, Gualala, Marin County, and two spots in Petaluma.
Prices include free U.S. shipping. Paintings ordered with the "framed" option are matted and ready to hang, presented in an 11"x14" black solid-wood frame.
