5"x7" original artwork in watercolor, mica + ink on Stonehenge heavy cold-press paper, with touches of black acrylic marker and pink gouache.
The reference photo for this painting is from a hike my wife and I did in Corte Madera at Ring Mountain Open Space Preserve. Ali grew up in Marin County, and she's taken me on some beautiful hikes there over the years. This open space is home to a number of rare lilies, including the very curious Tiburon Mariposa lily—which only grows here.
Painting #3 of 5 in the mini collection "Places of Rest." This 2nd collection of 2026 consists of 5 landscape paintings from in and around Sonoma County. Each is based off a reference photo I took while traveling, focusing on some of my favorite places to find a bit of calm: highlighting Sea Ranch, Gualala, Marin County, and two spots in Petaluma.
Prices include free U.S. shipping. Paintings ordered with the "framed" option are matted and ready to hang, presented in an 8"x10" black solid-wood frame.
